The meter: Wafir, complete. (Do you deny, O son of Isaac, my brotherhood, and reckon the water of another to be from my vessel?) (Shall I utter estrangement concerning you after my knowledge that you are the best of those under the sky?) (My years have not exceeded twenty, so how have I grown weary of the length of remaining?) 4 (I did not exhaust your description in my praise, so that I should diminish it by satire.) 5 (Suppose I said: this morning is night, would the worlds be blind to the light?) 6 (You obey the envious, though you are a person whose ransom I would be, and they are my ransom.) 7 (And among wonders is that you see me and then equate me with less than dust.)
